Annai Vaarahi Charitable Trust started in the year of 2005 with principle of giving food to the needy and poor people, improving the southern culture, improving the needy villager’s requirement during festival times and giving provisional items regularly accounting to 3000 packets to those who are in very downtrodden and giving food to the roadside beggars.
We started to give Annadhanam regularly with 30 persons in 2005 at Pachaiamman temple, Mylapore. Now we are providing food to 1265 needy people in 7 places. Besides we are providing full meals frequently more than 1000 people in a month.
We are running a computer section in the Government Higher Secondary School, Vedanthangal with 6 computers and a teacher. Now, we are providing 2 Elementary teachers in Chithathur and Vellaputhur near Vedanthangal.
We have started a free medical centre in association with Sri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Centre on October 6th at Vedanthangal village.
We also want to improve the economic conditions of the village ladies so decided to open a Free Tailoring Institute at Vedanthangal in hospital compound and provided 5 sewing machines.
Our Trust is having exemption Sec 80G (TDS – 10B) under Income tax Act and we registered in CSR programme also.
